Ian Gunn studied music at the University of Sydney, Australia, and is a published songwriter and arranger. Now based in the United Kingdom, he is composing and producing songs and instrumentals ranging from Indie pop/rock with strong string arrangements, to moody and melodic piano-based instrumentals, Susan-Boyle-ish torch songs and swing/rock show numbers. There's even a brief  flirtation with "Kylie" pop. 
  Ian has enjoyed recent success in major international songwriting competitions. His instrumentals "Abide In My Love" and "Beautiful and True" were finalists in the 14th Annual Great American Song Contest (2012). His powerful anthem "Heart of Australia" was a finalist in the Show Song and Open categories of the the 2011 UK Songwriting Contest and his gentle piano-based instrumental "Last Time" was a finalist in America's Song of the Year 2011 Contest and the Great American Song Contest 2011.
